Deicide: Deicide

Deicide's Deicide ranked number 8 in the Top 100 Death Metal Albums of all time

This is one of the most important cornerstones in the history of the death metal gene and it is a geme that all death metal fans must have, no exceptions. This is just stright ahead, classic, evil, satanic, hellish, blasphemous, haunting, assulting, pulverizing, heavy, brutal death metal at it's ultimate best. It's everything that a satanic death metal fan could ask for and a whole lot more. So get it and take a trip curtesy of the 4 demons from Hell. Enjoy the ride.

Choice Cuts: Lunatic Of God's Creation, Sacrificial Suicide, Oblivious To Evil, Dead By Dawn, Day Of Darkness and Crucifixation

There are 2 versions of this album out. The first version is the original. That one is out of print. The second version is the remastered gold disk re-issue. That one can be found in stores. For those who still want to get a hold of the original, you can find it only at places like Amazon.com and e-bay.

Deicide: Legion

Deicide's Legion ranked number 9 in the Top 100 Death Metal Albums of all time

With this album, Deicide is back for another round of attack. All of the evil, hellfire, brimstone, blasphemy, devestation and assult returns but with much more power than before. Every single song deliveres a strike of terror in the hearts of all who hear and leave listener scarestruck. Christains beware.

Choice Cuts: Satan Spawn The Caco-Daemon, Trifxtion, Behead The Prophet (No Lord Shell Live), In Hell I Burn and Revocate The Agitator

There is something important that need to be brought up. There are many people who love this album but there are those who are turned off because of the sound and production of the album. For those who feel that way, it is because you might have to listen to it a least 3 or 4 times to get it like Glen Benton himself said in an old interview with Rip Magazine.

Deicide: Once Upon The Cross

Deicide's Once Upon The Cross ranked number 11 in the Top 100 Death Metal Albums of all time

This album marks another chapter for Deicide. The album is a little bit more technical but the band still retains all of the basic element that make them such an unstoppable force. So this is basically another opus of straight forward, evil, satanic, haunting, hellish, blasphemous, pulverizing, hellfire and brimstone, heavy, brutal death metal assult officially approved by the sinister majesties of Hell. Essential to the collection of every death metalhead.

Deicide: Serpents Of The Light

Deicide's Serpents Of The Light ranked number 38 in the Top 100 Death Metal Albums of all time

With this album, it is another direction for the band. Musically, the band still delievers the evil goods and a whole more. All of the basical elements that make the band what they are as an important death metal force are all retained along with some trips to new territories. That can be felt throughout the album. Lyrically, the band still maintains their satanic stance but the lyrics tend to deal more with the corruption of Chrstainity and religion as well as other serious issues rather than the typical "Satan, Satan, Satan" and supernatural contents of the past. The band doesn't let down at all through. They're only progressing in their dark craft.

Choice Cuts: Serpents Of The Light, Bastard Of Christ, Blame It On God, I Am No One, Believe The Lie, The Truth Above and Father' Bakers

Deicide: Scars Of The Crucifix

Deicide's Scars Of The Crucifix ranked number 34 in the Top 100 Death Metal Albums of all time

Deicide: Scars Of The Crucifix - With this album, it's the return to fold of Deicide. When a die-hard Deicide fan listens to this album for the first time, they will hear Deicide that way they were in their former glory. The music is pretty much a mix of Legion, Once Upon The Cross and Serpents Of The Light. This is very evident throughout the album. For exemple, lets take Go Now Your Lord Is Dead. At the end of the last chorus, the songs going in to that evil, doomsday-like sound with a solo attack almost like with the ending of Behead The Prophet (No Lord Shell Live) from Legion. Evidences like these are found throughout the album. The lyrics are pretty much a mix of the old "Satan, Satan, Satan" thing and subjects dealing with the corruption of Christainity and religion. Much more like Once Upon The Cross. All and all, it is an album for the true Deicide die-hards and as well as an album that reconciles with fans that the band lost because Insinerehym and In Torment In Hell.

Choice Cuts: Scars Of The Crucifix, Made At God, Fuck Your God, When Heaven Burn, From Darkness Come, Go Now Your Lord Is Dead and The Pentecostal

There are many different versions of this album that are out now. One of those versions is a limited edition release with a DVD. It is no secret that for a long time, there have been fans that have always wanted to see the band as regular people rather just faces on an album cover or magazine. With the release of the DVD with the CD, many fans finally get a chance to see the band as acctual people. The DVD is called Behind The Scars - Under The Skin Of Deicide and it is pretty much a look into the the beginnings, music, tours, beliefs and personal lives of each of the band members as well as the bands as a whole. Some of the footage that fans will see is Glen recording at Morrisound, Steve as his home and at a shootting gellery, the Hoffman brothers at a hotel telling crazy stores like the beginning of the band, Brian talking about his tatoos and Beast guitars as well as plenty of other suprises. Lets serves this as a warning to everyone that release of the edition of CD with the DVD is a limited edition and fans are seroiusly encouraged to pick a copy or 2 of this limited edition because they may by gone. The most important thing is don't miss out on the DVD.

Many people have many different opinions about it but it's really a killer album if people take the time to listen to it. Through Insineratehym is more groovy and technical, this album has more of a sinister approach almost like the first album, Legion, and Once Upon The Cross. That's because of the sound and production as well as the material itself. Lyrically, the bands still mainstains their Satanic beliefs but with more emphesis on the corruption of Christanity and religion along with small appearances of the "Satan, Satan, Satan" thing here and there.
